Acer Aspire 7 Vs Asus TUF F15: Which Is Better?

The Acer Aspire 7 makes up for its lack of design and creativity in terms of performance and pricing.

Your search for a thin, light laptop with appealing aesthetics and artificial intelligence has come to an end because this is not it. For less than $1,000, you can have a laptop that’s good for office work but also powerful enough to play games or produce content. You don’t have to worry about having the swankiest laptop in the coffee shop because many of us now work from home.

In contrast, Asus’ TUF Gaming F15 laptop is yet another in the company’s lengthy series of gaming computers. It boasts a powerful engine construction that can withstand any challenge. Is it, however, worthwhile to make the investment? This question is addressed by India Today Tech.

In India, Asus’ laptop line has progressively expanded to include a wider range of models and pricing ranges. Asus laptops can be used for a variety of purposes, including gaming, business, and everyday duties.

Acer Aspire 7 Vs Asus TUF F15: Detailed Analysis

Design

Last year, one of our favorite low-cost laptops was the 15.6-inch Acer Aspire 5. The Aspire 7 is essentially a larger and more powerful version of the original Aspire 5 in terms of size and performance. If you’re searching for a small and light vaporizer, the Aspire 5 is a great option.

The metal casing and keyboard deck of the Aspire 7 make it appear and feel more expensive than it is, but the plastic bottom and lid, which collect fingerprints like a forensic scientist, let it down. It weighs 5.2 pounds (2.3 kilograms), making it slightly too heavy to be deemed travel-friendly, although it is still quite portable.

The Asus TUF Gaming F15, on the other hand, appears to have been developed with gamers in mind. Despite being built of plastic, the chassis is strong enough to sustain repeated use. The hexagonal reinforcements around its chassis, in addition to the honeycomb pattern on the base, give it an overall sense of strength. The big palm rest area may appeal to gamers and anyone who spend a lot of time using a keyboard. As a result, I believe the laptop’s desktop-style keyboard shields it from smudges.

Display

Acer Aspire 7

The Acer Aspire 7’s full-HD IPS display’s matte coating avoids annoying reflections while maintaining good color and contrast from any angle. The backlit keyboard is a tad mushy, but there’s enough snap and travel to make typing on a tabletop seem comfortable. Despite the squishy precision touchpad, it is responsive and smooth.

The ASUS TUF Gaming F15 has a 15.6-inch IPS Full HD display with a 16:9 aspect ratio. The TUF Gaming F15’s display is fantastic for watching 4K video or Ultra HD television on OTT platforms in addition to being a great gaming monitor.

Speakers

Despite their low output, the system’s speakers offer clean audio with little distortion at high volumes. Even for casual use, you should probably use headphones or an external set of speakers. The webcam and microphones are OK as long as you’re in a well-lit area and close to the display.

Performance

Asus TUF F15

The Nitro 5, Acer’s entry-level gaming laptop, performs similarly to the Aspire 7, but lacks the angular shape, red accents, and NitroSense software, which provides direct access to fan settings, power management, and system monitoring. I propose the Nitro 5 or any of the other low-cost gaming laptops if you want more game-specific features.

Despite being billed as a general-purpose laptop, the Aspire 7 includes a graphics chip capable of handling everything from Fortnite to the most recent AAA titles. While the GTX 1650 is capable of more, it may be required in some circumstances to reduce the settings I tried to medium. A GTX 1660 Ti or a GeForce RTX 2060 would be ideal for individuals who want greater gaming capability in the future, but they’re unlikely to be available at this price.

With the Asus TUF Gaming F15 laptop, anything is possible. With an Intel 11th Generation Tiger Lake-H processor running at 2.5GHz, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 GPU, 16GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD drive. The TUF Gaming F15 comes with Asus’ Armoury Crate software, which allows you to fine-tune settings for gaming and other tasks. TUF Gaming is imprinted on the keyboard of the laptop, indicating that it was designed for gamers, which is exactly what I was searching for in a laptop.

Battery

The Aspire 7’s battery life is marginally better than that of a gaming laptop. It took nearly 8 hours to transmit a 2-hour video to our computer. As a result, the GTX 1650 system may only provide a maximum of 7 hours of streaming. With frequent use, you’ll get roughly half of that. Because the power jack is in the center of the right side, when the gadget is turned on, the power cord is always in the way.

The Asus TUF Gaming F15 laptop comes with a 90-watt-hour battery and a 240-watt adaptor. The laptop’s battery life is predicted to be up to 14.7 hours. As a result, the laptop lasted more than 10 hours during my internal battery testing, which included looping a video with optimal settings such as 40 percent brightness and forcing all other apps or features to close but one.

Acer Aspire 7 Vs Asus TUF F15: Final Verdict

The Acer Aspire 7 is a good alternative for individuals who need a laptop for both business and entertainment, but if you can get past the bloatware, it’s a solid pick.

There are numerous reasons to consider the TUF Gaming F15 laptop. It can handle almost any high-graphics PC game because of its powerful processing power and excellent keyboard layout. To play the greatest games, you’ll need a powerful processor and a capable graphics card. This laptop is a superb choice for regular use due to its military-grade certification and superior heat dissipation. However, the laptop is cumbersome and should not be transferred on a frequent basis. It’s also worth noting that the speakers and webcam are also mediocre.

Looking at laptops from ASUS and Dell, both of which start at roughly Rs 1,41,000, can help you save money (without XG Mobile).
