Design

We like how Acer kept the new Nitro 5’s design quite minimal. Many gaming laptops, particularly lower-priced versions, used to be adorned in flamboyant colours and aesthetic flourishes similar to those seen on Nitro machines, although this tendency has since faded. When flashy red and black were so dominant, it was difficult to find reasonably priced gaming machines that didn’t look like laptops.

According to the Military Garde MIL-STD 810H test, the laptop is drop-proof. From the outside, the machine appears to be sturdy and well-built. The Acer Nitro 5 comes with a 15.6-inch display wrapped in a sleek aluminium unibody. It offers a 144-hertz refresh rate and an IPS display with full HD resolution (1,920 by 1,080 pixels).

The pictures were excellent from every viewpoint, and there were no problems throughout the gaming.

The screen is intended for both game designers and gamers. The 16:9 aspect ratio makes images appear larger. Nothing much is wrong with the presentation.

Gaming and Performance

The Acer Nitro 5 we evaluated was outfitted with a Core i5-12500H processor from Intel’s 12th generation (“Alder Lake”), 16GB of RAM, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 Ti graphics chip, and a 512GB solid-state drive. This is a low-cost entry point into the world of gaming: 16GB of RAM is preferable to 8GB, and the 12th generation Intel architecture is supplemented with a GPU that performs well for the price. The system’s default power level of 95 watts may decrease overall system efficiency and have an effect on gameplay.

The TUF F15 gaming laptop, on the other hand, is powered by a 12th Generation Intel Core i7-12700H processor. This device can manage any task thanks to up to 1TB of NVMe SSD storage and 16GB of DDR5 RAM. The laptop may easily switch between tasks. The number of apps open has no bearing on the speed. Both demanding games such as PUBG and Far Cry 6 and lesser games such as Candy Crush Saga work smoothly. When used to control the illumination behind it, the keyboard performs admirably. The graphics in the games are bright and fast, but the audio is weak.

Battery

Although there are other devices with longer battery lives, the Acer Nitro 5’s battery life is still a plus. The Nitro 5 exceeds the minimum allowable time for a budget system or a large laptop before becoming unduly power demanding, yet this is still within acceptable limits. The seven-hour battery life (your real runtime may be less, especially if you play games while on battery power) should be more than enough to keep you from wondering about when you’ll be near a power source the next time.

The TUF F15 Gaming Laptop comes included with a strong 90Whr battery. It operated Chrome, MS Word, YouTube videos, and WhatsApp for more than six hours without needing to be recharged. To watch videos, the volume was turned up to eleven and the brightness was reduced to about fifty percent.

The battery only lasts around an hour and a half, so you’ll need to plug it in if you want to play for an extended period of time. A 240W power adaptor is included to charge the tablet quickly. There isn’t much runtime, but it gets the job done.

The Asus TUF F15 Gaming is an excellent gaming laptop. Aside from its obvious gaming utility, it has a variety of other applications. The laptop is extremely quick, with a beautiful backlit keyboard, and a stunning screen. The design is unremarkable, but the manufacturing quality is excellent. If you’re looking for a gaming laptop, you might be ready to overlook its short battery life, poor audio, and high temperature.

However, the current Acer Nitro 5 does not break any records, but it does provide adequate performance and features for casual gamers at an affordable price.
