AUDIO Logitech G435 Vs Steelseries Arctis Prime

In the gaming industry, people spend tens of thousands of hours playing various types of games. Gamers from the Millennial and Generation Z generations have turned to the game for solace, particularly during these trying times. Multiplayer games like Among Us gained popularity at the start of the lockdown in 2020, and the next-generation PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and Series S consoles were released in 2021.

SteelSeries Arctis Prime, rather than reinventing the wheel, brings the chassis of more expensive gaming headsets to a lower price point. It doesn’t have many bells and whistles, but it’s still a good option among the many gaming headsets on the market today.

Logitech is one of many companies that have made their mark in this burgeoning industry. The Swiss company is well-known in the gaming industry for its gaming mice, headsets, and keyboards. The Logitech G435, a new gaming headset, has been introduced to the Indian market at a price of 7,495 rupees. What are the best gaming headphones under Rs.10,000 on the market right now, in your opinion? I decided to write a full review after a few weeks of owning the headphones.

This Arctis headset, in contrast to others, simplifies the formula—after all, this is the generation of simpler gaming headsets. Is the simplicity of the Arctis Prime enticing enough to justify purchasing it?

Specs and Design

AUDIO Logitech G435

Despite the lack of flash, the ear cups and headbands of the headset adhere to standard gaming aesthetics. While RGB on headsets isn’t my favourite feature, many buyers will expect it and be disappointed if it isn’t included. Amazon India and Flipkart both sell off-white and lilac versions, blue and raspberry versions, and black and neon yellow versions. This review includes colour options in black and neon yellow. The entire headset, which is black, has neon yellow buttons.

Whereas the SteelSeries Arctis Prime, on the other hand, looks very familiar if you’ve ever used one of the more expensive Arctis headsets. The SteelSeries Arctis Prime, like the Arctis Pro, Arctis 7P, and Arctis 9 Wireless, has a design that is nearly identical to premium gaming headsets. However, if you’ve only used the Arctis line’s lower-priced models, the Arctis Prime may feel completely unfamiliar. This is the first time the Arctis 1 and Arctis 3 headset frames have been listed for $99 USD, and the cheaper headsets, such as the Arctis 1 and Arctis 3, have plastic frames and different headbands.

Performance and Battery Life

The Logitech G435’s 40mm drivers provide more than adequate audio output, with clear highs and lows. The sound quality on this album isn’t great, but it’s also not bad. This device should be able to meet all of your gaming requirements.

A variety of games were used to test the headphones’ capabilities, including Valorant and Apex Legends, as well as CS:GO, Back 4 Blood, Tomb Raider, and Forza Horizon 5. In first-person shooter games, there is a lot at stake, and the Logitech G435 performed admirably in this regard. This headset has slightly better isolation than the majority of SteelSeries Arctis gaming headsets, which means it is a good headset. With this type of isolation, don’t expect much more than a slightly muffled car horn or a quieted room fan. If you take it outside, you may be tempted to crank up the volume because the headset won’t be able to block out much noise. Don’t! Noise-induced hearing loss is not something to be laughed at.

Microphone

Steelseries Arctis Prime

The Logitech G435 Lightspeed headphones employ beamforming microphones rather than traditional boom arms, which I believe is a bad idea. Your voice quality is excellent due to the proximity of the two microphones to your mouth. Despite this, they pick up a lot of ambient noise, which some Discord users were not pleased with. Boom microphones would have been a far better choice to compensate for the weight.

I was able to get close to the company’s claimed 18-hour battery life on the Logitech G435 Lightspeed review unit. I was able to get about 17 hours of use out of a single charge with the volume set to around 80%. I was also able to make a few phone calls while Bluetooth-connected to my smartphone.

On the other hand, the SteelSeries Arctis Prime’s microphone is adequate for a gaming headset. Even so, it’s reasonably accurate and clear, but overall volume is a problem, as is common with 3.5mm-based gaming headsets. Even if the soundcard in your controller can handle a lot when playing on a console, the sound output settings on your PC may need to be tweaked. Here’s what you’ll discover:

Controls

The Logitech G435 Lightspeed has a USB Type-C charging port that takes approximately two hours to charge fully. The lack of a 3.5mm audio jack is a little disappointing for a gaming headset. If you run out of power during a game, your only option is to switch to another device or wait for this one to recharge.

On the back of the left headphone, just above the ports, you’ll find a microphone mute switch and a headphone volume control. And with that, I’ll bid you farewell. Gaming has never been easier than with the SteelSeries Arctis Prime. Because it has 3.5mm compatibility, it can be used with almost any device, including the PlayStation 5, Nintendo SwitchTM, PC, Xbox® Series X and SMART® devices, and other mobile devices (provided it has a headphone jack). Long sessions should be no problem due to the headset’s comfort. If your ears are sensitive to heat buildup, this could be a problem in the future.

AUDIO Logitech G435 VS Steelseries Arctis Prime: Final Verdict

Logitech‘s initial goal for the G435 Lightspeed was to create a gaming headset that was both affordable and comfortable to wear for extended periods. Some aspects of the headset exceed expectations, while others fall short.

Latency is reduced as a result of Lightspeed’s integration, while wireless connectivity is maintained. The microphone, on the other hand, isn’t ideal for a gaming headset.

On the other hand, the SteelSeries Arctis Prime is a high-quality gaming wired headset that costs less than $30.

The SteelSeries Arctis Prime lacks frills, but those frills aren’t necessary in today’s gaming world. SteelSeries’ decision to reduce the price of its higher-end headset design is sound, as the headset costs only $99 USD. It’s an excellent choice in terms of comfort, ease of use, and audio quality. You don’t need much more because almost every gaming platform now has its own built-in audio features. None of this, however, implies that this is an ideal headphone; it is not.
