Boat Rockerz 255 Vs Boult Audio ProBass: Which To Choose?

There are high-quality items that require special care, such as audio-wear, and low-cost, low-maintenance items, such as those you may prefer to buy instead. They do their job well and are reasonably priced. Although they lack some high-end extras, their low price ensures that they will provide everything you need and more.

Despite the fact that Boult Audio isn’t exactly a household name in India, the company does offer a wide range of headphones, earbuds, and even soundbars. When compared to Apple AirPods, the Twin Pods are a more affordable option. Today we’ll look at the Boult Audio ProBass Curve wireless neckband earphones, a feature-packed set of headphones available online for Rs 1,499 (approximately $149).

Boat Rockerz 255 Vs Boult Audio ProBass: Detailed Analysis

Design

The Boat Rockerz are available in a variety of colours, including active black, neon, raging red, and navy blue. For testing, a pair of blue earbuds were provided. The Boat Rockers 255 Pro is the best lightweight board available. The flat wires that kept the earphones from getting tangled were my favourite feature of the Boat Rockerz. Because they’re made of a metal and plastic hybrid with a nice matte finish, they won’t look cheap.

The Boult Audio ProBass Curve earphones, on the other hand, are more solidly built than their packaging suggests. The plastics used, however, are of poor quality, and the overall construction is shoddy. It comes in a variety of colour combinations, ranging from all-black to red and black to red and blue. Even when bent and twisted at extreme angles, the neckband retains its shape. The earbuds can be removed, and the wire length of the neckband can be adjusted, allowing the headphones to be worn comfortably.

Connectivity

The neckband has clearly marked L and R arrows to indicate which side should be worn forward. I had no trouble wearing the headphones all day, on walks, or even while watching TV because they fit snugly and securely in my ears. Even after hours of listening, the headphones remained securely in place and did not irritate my ears. These headphones, with an IPX5 rating, can withstand being splashed, rained on, and exposed to dust. After getting them wet in the rain or sweat, I discovered that the earbuds still functioned normally. This is a game-changer feature for headphones under Rs. 1000.

The magnetic outer sides of the Bolt Audio Probass earbuds snap together to keep them in place when the band is wrapped around the neck. These magnets are only intended to hold the earbuds in place and do not perform any other functions, such as pausing the music.

Neodymium magnets are used in the ProBass Curve drivers. This headset’s Qualcomm CSR8635 Bluetooth chip enables wireless connections to Bluetooth 5 devices. It supports Qualcomm’s cVc noise cancellation technology for phone calls and uses the industry-standard SBC Bluetooth profile for streaming audio.

The ProBass Curve can connect to two devices at the same time thanks to the chip’s support for multipoint connections. Unfortunately, there were times when the headphones flatly refused to pair with the supplementary device. The company has remained silent on the operating frequency range that is appropriate for the drivers. The IPX5 rating indicates that the product is resistant to water and perspiration.

Audio Quality

Boult Audio ProBass

The Boat Rockers Pro’s 10 mm drivers produce resonant, high-definition sound with a strong bass boost. I listened to a wide range of musical genres through my earbuds. I also used them to watch movies and TV shows. The music and vocals are clearly audible when wearing these headphones. The bass line was the driving force behind this song. When I turned up the volume to 11, however, the sound leaked and became shrill, especially with bass-heavy songs. Even though the earphones are not intended for audiophiles, the sound quality is surprisingly good for the price. When using the earbuds to make or take calls, there appeared to be no lag or issue. Boat’s CVC technology is said to make making and receiving phone calls less stressful.

The Boult ProBass Curve, on the other hand, is optimized to deliver booming low end and succeeds magnificently in this regard. Giggs’ Lock Doh features tight bass control and a satisfying kick. Even at maximum volume, there is no distortion. The singers’ voices are so full and distinct that no matter where you are in the room, you feel like you’re right in the middle of the action. The Curve has a passable midrange for the most part, but it struggles with songs with multiple instruments, such as Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody. The track’s highs sounded a little screechy at full volume, which isn’t always the case.

The bass became much more audible after we mastered a secure fit for the earphones. Simply putting them in our ears wasn’t going to keep them there. The controls are simple to locate and use. You can skip songs by pressing and holding the volume up button for a few seconds, and the same is true for the volume down button. You can’t use your phone’s voice assistant because the power button is doing double duty.

Battery

To its credit, the Boat Rockerz lives up to its six-hour battery life claim. The headphones had a battery life of about six hours before needing to be recharged. Because many people prefer USB-C charging, the earbuds only come with a micro-USB cable, which may be inconvenient for some users. The earbuds will take 1.5 hours to fully charge, but only 20 minutes of charging will provide users with up to 2 hours of playtime.

The ProBass Curve’s battery life is advertised by Boult Audio to be 8-10 hours per charge, but we only got 8.5 hours out of a charge. When I connected it to a laptop’s USB port, the battery was fully charged in just over two hours. The only way to tell how much juice is left in the battery is through its power LED. When the level is at or above 20%, the indicator glows blue; when it falls below that level, it glows red.

Boat Rockerz 255 Vs Boult Audio ProBass: Final Verdict

The Boat Rockerz Pro are wireless headphones that are easy to use on a daily basis and so it can be used while doing some household chores too. in addition to their high-end appearance and low weight. Its appeal is enhanced by features such as fast charging and an IPX5 rating. The earbuds’ premium sound quality makes them an excellent accessory for regular use in the home office or gym. Making phone calls was a breeze, which is unusual for cheap headphones. A great pair of headphones, such as the Boat Rockerz Pro, can be had for Rs 899.

The current online price for the new Boult Audio ProBass Curve, which replaces the previous model, is around Rs. 1,499, though it can be found for a little less at times. This tool’s cost-effectiveness cannot be overstated. The battery lasts a long time, it’s comfortable to wear, and it won’t get wet if you sweat. The low end is tight and clean, but the mids lack life. Nothing about it suggests that it is the most expensive technology available. Once you’ve got everything else in place, you can concentrate on getting a good seal with the ear tips.
