Buying a laptop computer on a tight budget necessitates some sacrifices, especially if your budget is Rs. 40,000 or less. This is not the case with Dell’s Inspiron 3000 series, which offers affordable high-quality budget notebooks. The Dell Inspiron 15 3000 (3511) is a good budget laptop with a large 15.6-inch display, a low Rs. 40,000 prices, and Microsoft’s latest operating system, Windows 11. However, if you prefer a Windows machine to a Chromebook, this laptop is an excellent choice.
Dell’s Vostro line of low-cost laptops is also a strong contender. Interestingly, despite being one of the most affordable devices on the market, the Vostro 15 3510 can be outfitted with quite capable hardware.
A combination of the Core i7-1165G7 and GeForce MX350 is being considered. You can save money by not using an external graphics card with the Celeron 6305 processor. Using only integrated graphics has an unusual effect on I/O, which we’ll go over further later.

Dell Vostro 3510 vs Dell Inspiron 3511: Detailed Analysis
Build Quality
The Dell Inspiron 15 3000 has 4GB of RAM, 128GB of SSD storage, an Intel UHD graphics chip, and an Intel Core i3-1115G4 processor (3511). Despite its low graphics and memory capacity, the processor is a step up from the Celeron CPU found in even the most basic laptops, making it a viable option for those looking for a low-cost machine. For a little more money, you can get an Iris Xe graphics solution and up to 512GB of storage in addition to our entry-level test configuration, which costs $323. Here’s how to choose the best laptop CPU.)
The Vostro 15 3510, on the other hand, contains no metal or wood components. The Dell is not one of the few plastic-based laptops that retain structural integrity. The lid is extremely pliable, whereas the base bends like crazy. You don’t want to risk throwing or overloading your laptop when it’s inside your bag. The device is extremely portable, weighing only 1.69 kilograms. Height: 17.5-18.9mm The end result is a device that is portable and well-regarded in its class.
Display

This model differs from the 3505 model in that it has a 1,920-by-1,080-pixel display. On this full-HD, anti-glare 15.6-inch screen, the predecessor’s 1,280-by-720-pixel resolution has been upgraded to 1,080 by 1,080 pixels. There is no touch-screen option, which is surprising given the price. In our tests, the screen’s brightness could only be set to 261 nits, which isn’t very bright. In other words, despite the higher resolution, the images and videos produced by the laptop are dimmer than those produced by its predecessor.
In our configuration, the Dell Vostro 15 3510 has a BOE N39X1-NV15N3D Full HD IPS panel (BOE097D). The screen measures 15.6′′ (39.62 cm) diagonally and has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The display has a 16:9 aspect ratio, -142 pixels per inch, and a 0.18-millimetre pitch. The screen is transformed into a retinal display at an eyeball distance of 60cm (24′′). (the eye stops differentiating the individual pixels, which is normal when looking at a laptop).

Software
In particular, the main attraction of the Dell Inspiron 15 is Windows 11, Microsoft’s most recent operating system. The Inspiron 15 3000 ships with a version of Windows 11 that restricts app downloads to the Microsoft Store. This is a simple fix that requires only a few clicks in the Microsoft Store app to restore full Windows 11 functionality. On the computer, only McAfee Antivirus is installed, and no other software is present.
Connectivity and mobility
This feature distinguishes laptops with discrete graphics from those with only an integrated solution. The USB Type-A 3.2 (Gen. 1) and Type-C 3.2 (Gen. 1) ports, as well as the power plug and an HDMI 1.4 connector, are located on the left side of the device. You must select the Type-A port option to use an integrated graphics card. The right side of the device houses an SD card reader, a USB Type-A 2.0 port, and a security lock slot.
Graphics

While the Asus VivoBook 15 did not make the cut, the Dell Inspiron 15 3000 did. Because it is less demanding on the hardware, the Night Raid workload is better suited for laptops with integrated graphics. Time Spy would not run on any of the computers in our comparison group.
When it comes to the brightness of the Dell Vostro 15, we’re talking about pulse-width modulation (PWM). While the light intensity decreases as the brightness level is reduced, the electronics turn off and on at a frequency indistinguishable to the human eye. The light/no-light time ratio is constantly changing during these light impulses, which is harmful to your eyes. This website has a separate article about PWM.
The backlight of the Dell Vostro 15 3510 does not flicker unless the brightness slider is set to its maximum setting. This has some advantages, such as the fact that the pulsations are not extremely low in frequency. Our Health-Guard profile, on the other hand, can completely eliminate this issue.

Dell Vostro 3510 vs Dell Inspiron 3511: Final Verdict
We don’t believe the Vostro 15 3510 is ready to be your daily driver in most situations. It has far too many flaws to make the effort worthwhile (in our view). The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 (17-inch, 2021) and the Dell Vostro 15 5515 are both more expensive but far superior options.
The Dell Inspiron 15 3000 (3511), on the other hand, is a solid but unremarkable 15-inch laptop at a low price. Many of the issues we had with the previous 3505 model have been addressed, and the 3511 is already ahead of the competition thanks to Windows 11. This is a good option if you want a 15-inch budget laptop with a good display, good speakers, and a USB-C port.
