Honor Band 6 Vs Huawei Band 6: Which To Buy?

Xiaomi’s Mi Band has dominated the low-cost fitness tracker market since its debut, and it continues to do so despite a crowded field. Huawei, on the other hand, appears to have a fitness tracker that can compete with the Mi Band for the title of cheapest.

Furthermore, the Honor Band 6 is a smart and reasonably priced wearable that provides exceptional value. Fitness enthusiasts, on the other hand, will be disappointed due to a number of flaws and omissions. Honor’s Honor Band 6 is a low-cost fitness tracker with a large display and basic smartwatch functions. It provides more than a bare-bones experience for people looking to improve their health, with a SpO2 sensor and stress management capabilities. Due to a slew of issues, errors, and oversights, this isn’t the best option for fitness enthusiasts on a budget. To learn more, read our complete Honor Band 6 review.

When it comes to fitness tracking, the Band 6 is powered by Lite OS, which is also used by Huawei’s higher-priced wearables such as the P20 Pro. Strava and other third-party apps are unable to share data, and customization options are limited. Lite OS, on the other hand, is distinguished by its simple user interface.

Honor Band 6 vs Huawei Band 6: Detailed Analysis

Design and Build Quality

Honor’s Honor Band 6 is a low-cost fitness tracker with a large display and basic smartwatch functions. With a SpO2 sensor and stress management features, it provides more than just a basic experience for people looking to improve their health. Due to a slew of issues, errors, and oversights, this isn’t the best option for fitness enthusiasts on a budget. To learn more, read our complete Honor Band 6 review.

The Huawei Band 6 is a more compact and basic option, resembling a slimmer Huawei Watch Fit. The sensors are mounted on the bottom of the polymer watch body, which has a metal texture finish on the sides.

The slender, supple rubber straps are soft and silky against the skin. If your wrists sweat, it’s simple to clean because it doesn’t trap dust. Given the price, it’s understandable that Band 6 does not allow users to replace the band.

Display

Honor Band 6

You’ll be impressed when you first see the Honor Band 6. The screen more than compensates for the device’s low price, as evidenced by the box’s simplicity. The display now covers 85 per cent of the device’s front, giving it a more modern appearance.

The screen is not only visually appealing, but it also responds well to touches. This makes it easier to navigate and gives the impression that the item is significantly more expensive. There are numerous watch faces to choose from, and I found myself liking a number of them. They stand out due to their bright colors, and many of them provide quick access to information such as steps taken and calories burned.

Because the Huawei Watch Fit lacks GPS, the Band 6 resembles a scaled-down version of that smartwatch. It is similar in size and shape to a thinner Watch Fit, but with a taller AMOLED display on the front and a smaller and lighter overall size and shape. Huawei wearables have long been known for their long battery life, and the Huawei Watch Fit is no exception.

Trackers

The Honor Band 6 falls short on a number of fronts as a fitness tracker.

To begin with, there is a scarcity of accurate activity detection. I initially assumed it wasn’t working, but after further investigation, I discovered that the data was only displayed as a percentage divided between walking, running, and climbing in the app’s “steps” area. If you go for a walk, you can expect it to be recorded as an activity. It didn’t get any better if you started a run from the wrist. For starters, the watch constantly informs you that it lacks GPS. The Honor Band 6’s GPS will only record your run if you start it through the app. I’m willing to overlook the lack of a built-in GPS because it’s standard for the price. As a result, one of the primary advantages of owning a smartwatch is significantly diminished. To make matters worse, the software only offers three training profiles to choose from.

The Huawei Band 6’s standout feature, as with nearly every other Huawei wearable these days, is its extensive fitness and health tracking capabilities. A three-ring activity system, similar to Apple’s rings, allows you to set goals for calories burned, standing time, and exercise hours.

The Band 6 can track a wide range of activities, including walking, jogging, cycling, and even belly dancing and dart tossing, thanks to its 90+ training modes. Simply scroll through the workout options on the band, press the start button, and the band will begin. If you don’t want to go through the settings, automatic workout detection almost always works.

Battery

Huawei Band 6

Despite their simple appearance, these smartwatch functions are extremely useful. They’re just looking through their phones for messages. The large screen, on the other hand, provides a more enjoyable viewing experience. The large screen allowed me to read a lot of text while still receiving notifications on time (more so than on other devices).

There is a stopwatch, a weather forecast, and a torch included.

For a long time, the Honor band 6 will have all of these characteristics. Many workouts and 24-hour heart rate monitoring sessions have not depleted the device’s incredible 14-day battery.

The battery life on the Band 6 is excellent, as it is on the majority of Huawei’s wearables. The band’s efficient Lite OS allows it to function for about two weeks on a 180mAh battery. This fitness band has a significantly longer battery life than other fitness bands in this price range.

You may notice a decrease in the distance with more frequent workouts and all-day heart rate and SpO2 monitoring. With light to moderate usage, you can expect to get about 10 days of battery life on a single charge, which falls short of Huawei’s two-week battery life claims.

Honor Band 6 vs Huawei Band 6: Final Verdict

The Honor Band 6 does a lot of things well, and after seeing it, Xiaomi should be concerned about its prospects. Bugs and a lack of polish keep it from reaching its full potential in key areas. Counting steps, recording your route and heart rate while jogging, and tracking your sleep patterns are just a few of the features you can expect from this device. If you’re serious about getting in shape, I’d keep looking.

Huawei’s Band 6 fitness tracker is an excellent tool for anyone looking to establish a healthy routine or keep track of their workouts. The display improves the aesthetics of the band and gives it a more polished appearance. This one is simple to use, with features like all-day SpO2 monitoring, stress detection, and sleep tagging that are usually reserved for more expensive fitness watches.
