Harman launched the JBL Go 2 in India in May. The monsoon season begins in most parts of India in early June, so the announcement of this waterproof speaker was timely. If you’re looking for a small portable Bluetooth speaker that won’t get damaged in the rain, this is now a viable option. Is the Rs. 2,999 JBL Go 2 a good companion for a cup of hot chai and a variety of pakodas? Things are about to take an interesting turn.
BoAt on the other hand is unquestionably a well-known brand when it comes to earwear accessories. BoAt has also launched its low-cost boAt stone 350 speakers in India for Rs. 1500. Our interest has been piqued, but we are not alone.

Features and Design
The JBL Go 2 is a second-generation product, as the name implies. The JBL Go 2 has a more rounded shape than the original Go, which had a more boxy appearance. For the size comparison between this and the JBL Go, a bar of soap would be a better comparison. It weighs 184 grams, which is less than half the weight of the model it replaces. The Go 2 is available in 12 different colors, making it simple to find something you like.
Boat Stone designs and the IPX7 rating is helped by a rubber coating on the speaker’s outer casing. It is unquestionably water-resistant and can be submerged in 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes. A thick rubber flap covers the Micro-USB charging port and the AUX input, preventing water from entering the speaker if it is dropped. This is an excellent choice for swimming or spending time outside in inclement weather. The JBL Go 2, on the other hand, is better suited for outdoor excursions. Speaker Battery Life And Performance
It is as simple as pressing the power button once to turn on the speaker. To enter pairing mode, press and hold the Bluetooth button for a few seconds. The LED on the speaker lights up white and then blinks to indicate that it is ready to connect. Long-pressing either volume button will raise or lower the volume. These buttons do not allow you to listen to the previous song. You can, however, skip a song by double-tapping the play button. Boat stone 350 has a 2200 mAh battery capacity that, according to the manufacturer, provides a full 12-hour playback experience on a single fully charged battery. However, it is dependent on the volume at which we are listening to music, which is determined by the manufacturer.
You can get 8-9 hours of battery life if you use the boAt350 at 80-90 percent volume. Using a lower volume may give it an extra hour or two of life.
Plugging in the included USB cable and leaving it for an hour and a half to two hours will recharge the speaker completely. When it’s fully charged, it’ll light up, and you’ll be able to use it without the cable. The total playback time is at least nine hours.
Sound Quality
The JBL Go 2 has the only average sound quality for its size and price. If you listen closely, you’ll notice that the lower mid-range has been boosted to compensate for the loss of bass frequencies. Because the mid-range is strong, we could clearly hear the dialogue while watching Sacred Games on Netflix. At full volume, the speaker can fill a 150-square-foot room. Paradise City by Guns n’ Roses is a good example of a song with difficult instrument separation. When listening to a few tracks at full volume, clipping occurs. You’ll be fine if all you do is watch movies or listen to music that emphasizes vocals.

The JBL Go 2 offers good sound quality as well as water resistance for a low price of RS. 2300. As long as you don’t have unrealistic expectations, you’ll be pleased with the Go 2’s sound quality. If you want to listen to music outside without worrying about the weather, this is a viable option. If you need better audio quality and are willing to spend a little more, the UE Roll 2 has recently been reduced in price.
On the flip side, In the grand scheme of things, BoAt 350 is a joy to use. We were initially drawn to the boAt 350 because of its low price, but after using it, we discovered its best features.
