Logitech MX Master 2S Vs Logitech MX Master 3S Comparison!

The Logitech MX Master 2S is an excellent all-around mouse that we highly recommend. Because it is made of high-quality plastic, it has a premium, well-built feel. The ergonomics are excellent, so you will not become tired or sore from working for long periods of time. Because it is compatible with Windows and macOS and can be paired with up to three devices at once, you can use it with both your work and home computers, as well as other devices in your home. With its large size and moderate weight, it’s not exactly portable, but it does give off a solid vibe when perched atop your workstation. Because the buttons are spaced further apart, people with smaller hands may find it difficult to use.

The Logitech MX Master 3S, on the other hand, is a continuation of the company’s popular MX Master productivity line. The Logitech MX Master 4 is an improved version of the Logitech MX Master 3, keeping the same ergonomic shape and feature set while adding new ones. This version is suitable for use with modern high-resolution displays due to an improved sensor with a higher CPI range and quieter click buttons. Furthermore, it employs Logitech’s newest BOLT receiver, which promises improved performance in crowded wireless environments as well as tighter security over the older Unifying Receiver used by previous MX Master models.

Logitech MX Master 2S Vs Logitech MX: Detailed Analysis

Design

In contrast to the gaudy designs of most gaming mice, the Logitech MX Master 2S has a sleek and sophisticated appearance that makes it a great choice for any desktop. The Logitech MX Master 3S, on the other hand, resembles the previous generation Logitech MX Master 3 in appearance, with a solid plastic body, rubber grips, and metal scroll wheels. On the left mouse button, a ‘Logi’ logo appears, and a tiny LED light indicates whether or not the device has battery life.

Build Quality

Logitech MX Master 2S

With the MX Master 2S, Logitech has outdone itself. The primary mouse body is made of strong plastic with a premium feel. The only issue we discovered was minor mouse wheel play.

There is no denying the Logitech MX Master 3S’s high quality. All indications indicate that the materials used are of high quality and will last a long time. The mouse makes no noise when squeezed and has no movable parts. When the mouse is shaken, no noises are produced, but the main scroll wheel does move slightly within its casing. In everyday use, however, this is imperceptible.

Comfort

The Logitech MX Master 2S is simple to use. The contours of the mouse are designed to fit the most common palm and claw grips. While convenient, the two side buttons are unfortunately small and set relatively high, making them inaccessible to some users (especially those with smaller hands). Right-handed users, on the other hand, will appreciate the Logitech MX Master 3S’s ergonomic design. The materials are of high quality, and the buttons are conveniently placed. For a secure grip, the large thumb rest and palm area, as well as the entire right side, are covered in rubberized material. The mouse is generally quite large, making it difficult to use for those with smaller hands.

Buttons

Logitech MX Master 3S

You can assign various gesture-based commands to the button directly beneath where your thumb rests, such as minimizing a window with a downward swiping motion of the mouse. In place of a dedicated profile switch button, Logitech’s software allows you to assign profiles to specific programs on your computer. By clicking a button on the bottom of the mouse, you can easily switch between the three connected devices.

The majority of the Logitech MX Master 3S’s buttons, however, can be programmed using the included customization software. You cannot, however, change the behaviour of the mouse’s left and right click buttons, scroll wheel, or pairing button. Toggle between predefined gesture controls and user-defined actions for individual apps using the thumb rest button. This mouse has also received new ‘Quiet Click’ buttons. These buttons are quieter than those on the MX Master 3, but they still provide satisfying tactile feedback, which is lacking in other silent-click mice designed for productivity.

Response

The Logitech MX Master 2S has acceptable click latency. It’s too powerful for serious or fast-paced gaming, but it’s ideal for unwinding or getting things done. It is less consistent over a Bluetooth connection, but you will not notice a difference in practice.

The Logitech MX Master 3S gaming and productivity mouse has low latency and is ideal for casual games and web browsing. It is, however, unsuitable for fast-paced or competitive games.

The latest Logitech Unifying USB Receiver is not backwards compatible with previous models in the same line. This mouse employs the BOLT USB receiver. Logitech claims that the range, reliability, and security of the BOLT receiver have all been improved, even in densely populated areas with other wireless devices. Because of the use of Bluetooth technology in this new receiver, its click latency performance is indistinguishable from that of the LOGI BOLT receiver. Bluetooth devices typically have a longer and less consistent click latency than older models of this mouse with the same receiver.

Wireless

The Logitech MX Master 2S can be charged via a USB connection to a computer, but it does not support wired connections. It is one of the few mice that includes both Bluetooth and a proprietary receiver. You can switch between the three connected gadgets with the click of a button.

The Logitech MX Master 3S, like its predecessors, can wirelessly pair with up to three devices at the same time and switch between them using a button on the underside. The battery life is the same as in previous models. The mouse’s rechargeable 500mAh battery is said to last up to 70 days, according to Logitech. A one-minute quick charge can provide three hours of battery life.

Logitech MX Master 2S Vs Logitech MX: Final Verdict

The Logitech MX Master 2S is a stylish and ergonomic multipurpose mouse. It has low wireless click latency and can connect to three devices wirelessly at the same time. Most office workers should be pleased with its performance, but gamers should look elsewhere. The programmable buttons and gesture-enabled commands make it an excellent choice for the office, but those with smaller hands may struggle to use them. The Logitech MX Master 3S office mouse is difficult to beat. It’s tough and has an ergonomic design that’s easy on the thumb. It can connect to up to three devices wirelessly at the same time using Bluetooth or the included USB receiver. You can reprogram buttons, remap controls, and change sensor settings using the software. It has two distinct scrolling wheels for horizontal and vertical scrolling. A vertical scroll wheel allows you to switch between a slow, precise mode and a fast, free mode.
