Noise Buds Solo Vs Apple Airpods Pro: Which Is Best?

Noise, a new wearables company, has released a slew of TWS earbuds. With the release of the Buds Solo, the world’s first noise-cancelling earbuds, the company expanded its portfolio. The noise had previously released the Noise Elan, which had excellent audio quality but lacked the design required to justify the TWS’s high price. Noise, on the other hand, appears to have prioritized the design and sound quality of the Buds Solo.

Whereas apple released the AirPods Pro in October 2019, a higher-end version of its existing AirPods with a unique design, noise cancellation technology, improved sound quality, and a $249 price tag.

Apple claims that the AirPods Pro is “expanding the magic” of the original AirPods. The new earbuds will be available alongside the less expensive AirPods 2, which do not have noise cancellation.

The features of the AirPods Pro and Noise Buds Solo are discussed in this hands-on review.

Noise Buds Solo Vs Apple Airpods Pro: Detailed Analysis

Design

The design of the Noise Buds Solo is one of the most important takeaways. The charging case for the Buds Solo appears to be similar to the Sony WF1000XM3, while the earbuds appear to be similar to the AirPods Pro. As a result, Noise’s Buds Solo is technically inspired by the best earbuds. Its design is influenced by Sony and Apple. The Noise Buds Solo has a boxy, rounded-corner design. Despite being made of plastic, it has a soft matte finish rather than a glossy finish. With a matte accent encircling the top lid, the design evokes a sense of luxury. The Noise logo is emblazoned on the front of the charging case. Metal accents and a matte finish add to the device’s premium appearance and feel. Furthermore, it is lightweight, making it easy to slip into a pocket.

The AirPods Pro, on the other hand, looks and feels like the original AirPods but has a wider front to accommodate silicone tips for comfort, fit, and noise cancellation. There are three sizes of tips available to accommodate a wide range of ear sizes.

Despite rumours that the AirPods Pro would come in a variety of colours, Apple has confirmed that they will only be available in white, like the original AirPods.

Battery’s Durability And Performance

Noise Buds Solo

Noise has recently released some affordable and mid-range earbuds with excellent sound quality. The company has done so with Buds Solo as well. It is also the first pair of noise-cancelling earbuds. Thus, at a price point below 6000, ANC appears to be a steal, but it remains to be seen whether Noise delivers on its promises. Several companies have attempted but failed, to launch ANC-enabled earbuds in the low-cost market. When I entered another room, however, the sound was not as loud as when I was sitting in front of the grinder. As a result, the response is to some extent satisfactory. Because the Buds Solo costs Rs 5999, don’t expect it to perform as well as the Sony WF-1000XM3 or any other high-end device.

In our testing of the AirPods Pro, we obtained 5 hours and 6 minutes of continuous playback with ANC enabled (connected to an iOS device), which is slightly longer than the average for most true wireless models. It’s worth noting that Apple claims the device will provide approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes of continuous playback when active noise cancellation is turned on and the volume is set to about 50%. The charging case is fully compatible with any Qi wireless charger or MagSafe charger, and it charges for a total of 24 hours of listening time.

Audio Quality

In terms of sound quality, the Buds Solo produces a well-balanced sound. Each earbud has a ten-millimetre driver with a monstrous amount of power. Even at 70%, it can be quite loud; however, don’t go above 80% or you risk damaging your ears.

The Buds Solo is adaptable enough to play a wide range of musical styles. We played Ritviz’s Liggi and Sage, both of which have equal vocal and instrumental dominance, and the Buds solo produced the thumping sound without overpowering the vocals. Despite the fact that the earbuds are not intended for bass, they deliver punchy mids, crisp highs, and equally soothing lows. Slow Bollywood songs like Ek Tukda Dhoop, Bas Ek Pal, and others were handled admirably by the Buds Solo. Unfortunately, there is no way to customize the sound in the app. To increase the bass or decrease the trebles, you must use the default settings. However, this is not a major issue because the output of the Buds Solo with custom settings is also quite commendable.

The most important feature of the new Apple AirPods Pro, however, is without a doubt the active noise cancellation, which makes this one of the best sets of noise-cancelling true wireless earbuds available. While it will not eliminate all low-frequency rumble from planes and trains, it will significantly reduce the volume of midrange sounds. Is the ANC on the AirPods Pro incredible? Absolutely not, and while the Sony WF-1000XM4 still outperforms the AirPods Pro in this category, the majority of users will be satisfied with the AirPods Pro.

Noise Cancellation

Furthermore, the Noise Buds Solo has a mono mode, allowing you to use one of them as a Bluetooth speaker for phone calls. I tried using the mode, but it took a while to return to stereo mode. As a result, if you don’t need it, don’t use it.

A number of users have reported that their ANC performance has deteriorated since updating to firmware build 2B588. Bluetooth updates that fail to complete appear to be fairly common with ANC headsets. If you find that your AirPods Pro has a lower ANC rating than when you first bought them.

Regrettably, this is a widespread issue that affects not only Apple, but also Bose, Sony, and other Bluetooth headset manufacturers that require Bluetooth updates. Hopefully, these will be able to be used over a physical wire in the future, as Bluetooth appears to be insufficient for some users.

Customer Reviews

Noise Buds Solo

  • The sound quality of the music is adequate but could be improved.
  • I’ve been using Noise Shots x buds since they first became available. It’s been an incredible experience, and the buds are still performing as well as they did on day one.
  • The clarity of the music is excellent.
  • However, after a few minutes of use, the voice becomes muffled and you are unable to hear anything. You must disconnect and reconnect.
  • At this price point, this is one of the best TWSs available. After reading numerous mixed reviews, I had some reservations about the price I was paying.

Apple Airpods Pro

  • I absolutely adore them; they’re simple to use, the noise cancellation is incredible, and they feel like a necessary item to have in the modern era.
  • To be honest, the AirPods do not have the best noise cancellation, and the battery life is adequate, not great.
  • This is without a doubt the best version of Apple’s AirPods.
  • Transparency mode is almost as incredible (if not more so).

Noise Buds Solo Vs Apple Airpods Pro: Final Verdict

The Noise Buds Solo is an excellent choice if you want a pair of earbuds that look good, fit well, and produce high-quality sound. The earbuds are flawless, with an excellent call, sound, and battery life. While minor hiccups may occur during pairing and reconnecting, they are not causing concern. Buds Solo is also inexpensive and comes with hybrid active noise cancellation. While the ANC’s performance is not one of the main takeaways, it does not fall short.

Whereas if you’re looking for AirPods or have an iPhone, the AirPods Pro are the only Apple earbuds we recommend for a number of reasons. It not only sounds better than the open-fit AirPods, but it also includes a slew of useful features and accessories. While the AirPods Pro is slightly more expensive than the latest AirPods with wireless charging, you get a lot more bang for your buck. If you use an Android device, you should avoid the AirPods Pro. While it’s nice to receive a pair as a gift, the lack of cross-platform support means you’ll miss out on many of the features that make the buds worthwhile.
