Noise Colorfit 2 VS Mi Smart Band 4: Detailed Analysis

Design

The Noise ColorFit 2 has a 0.96-inch colour LCD display with good viewing angles and sunlight legibility for an LCD display, but it could be better. Because there is no always-on screen to save battery life, the display only illuminates when your hand is lifted. The display is easily scratched due to the lack of any type of scratch-resistant glass. The Mi Smart Band 4’s electronics are housed in a plastic capsule that fits snugly inside a silicone band. The screen is housed in the capsule, which is accompanied by a single capacitive button. The heart rate sensor and charging pins are housed in the capsule’s base. Remove the capsule from the Mi Smart Band 4 and charge it in the charger. The Mi Smart Band 4 capsule does not fit snugly inside the charger. It kept popping out until it finally fit, which was very inconvenient. This is the product’s most serious design flaw.

The Mi Smart Band 4 is made to be worn for long periods of time without causing discomfort. We wore it both during the day and at night and had no problems. Furthermore, the band ensures a secure fit.

Software

Mi Smart Band 4

Noise colorfit 2 band is powered by a proprietary operating system that connects to iPhones running iOS 8.0 and above and Android phones running Android 4.4 via Bluetooth 4.0 and the NoiseFit Sport app. When you open the app, it will prompt you to turn on Bluetooth and begin scanning for Bluetooth devices; simply select and confirm the ColorFit 2. You must first create an account on the Noise Fit Sportapp in order to sync your data to the cloud. It clearly displays activity, sleep, and heart rate data, and the user interface is straightforward. When it comes to the Mi Band 4, we’ve always praised the quality of the Mi Fit app, noting that it’s light years ahead of the companion apps for several fitness bands that cost more than Xiaomi’s Mi Band lineup. Even now, our first impressions of the Mi Fit app remain largely unchanged. We think it looks great and makes it easy to find the information you need. Due to their non-obvious location, a few data points, such as historical exercise and running data, were a little difficult to find. However, this is a minor quibble.

Performance

It comes with an acceleration sensor but no gyrosope sensor. Step counting is precise, and any movement of your hand does not count as a step. It keeps track of the distance travelled as well as the calories burned. Furthermore, the app displays data in neat, minimal, and easy-to-understand graphical representations. You can set goals for your steps, sleep, and weight by tracking them all. Although the band’s heart rate measurement is not completely accurate due to fluctuating values, the app provides slightly more accurate information. You cannot expect a fitness band to accurately measure your heart rate at this price point.

The Mi Smart Band 4 includes a slew of useful features, such as the ability to track a variety of workouts, such as swimming, sleep tracking, continuous heart rate monitoring, and notifications. The majority of useful features on this device were disabled by default and had to be enabled manually via the app, which was our main complaint.

When we first started using this device, for example, the sleep assistant (which aids in obtaining precise sleep data), notifications, and the option to wake the display when lifting our wrist were all disabled. The latter is such an important feature that it should be set as the default. The inaccessibility of these settings exacerbates the problem.

Notably, when we enabled each of these features, we were greeted with a warning message informing us that our battery life would be reduced as a result. However, we believe that giving up some of the best features of the Mi Smart Band 4 is not a fair trade-off.

Battery

Noise Colorfit 2

There is no need to carry a separate charger or dock because the ColorFit 2 includes a built-in USB connector. To charge, simply plug the band into a USB port on a PC, laptop, or a 5V charging adapter; a full charge takes about 2 hours. The 90mAh battery has a standby time of 5 days and a charge time of 7 days. In our testing, it lasted more than a week because we didn’t keep the band connected to the app via Bluetooth. A low battery warning appears when the battery is less than 15% charged, and it can be dismissed with a touch button.

You cannot use Sports Activity if the battery is less than 15% charged to avoid additional battery drain. Another warning appears if the battery is nearing the end of its life, instructing you to charge the battery first. This cannot be overlooked, and the band must be charged right away. Xiaomi Mi Band 2 The battery life of the Mi Band 2 is exceptional. The battery indicated that it was still 75 percent charged after eight days of use. Because the device is proprietary, misplacing it or forgetting to bring it with you may be a problem. The Xiaomi Mi Band 2 is a dependable activity tracker that includes a heart rate sensor.

Customer Reviews

Noise Colorfit 2

  • With a weight of just 35g and a 22mm TPU band, this band is extremely comfortable to wear. Additionally, the strap is skin-friendly, and I experienced no allergic reaction to sweat on this band.
  • The display is stunning, and even in direct sunlight, I found the watch display visible, albeit not optimally.
  • I can now easily read the band’s messages and notifications. I was able to control which notifications should be displayed on the watch via the app, as well as whether vibration notifications should be enabled.
  • The MiBand 4 is unquestionably feature-rich, while Noise ColorFit Pro 2 offers comparable or slightly more features.
  • Bluetooth coverage ranges between 1 and 2 miles. Technically, this will not fulfil your dream of a smart watch.
  • Avoid purchasing or you will be sorry. I had also requested a replacement and the same issue was discovered with another product…this indicates that it is a manufacturing issue.

Mi Smart Band 4

  • Wearables have exploded in popularity and penetration in our market. With companies like MI and Honor offering a slew of features at rock-bottom prices, it’s extremely profitable.
  • A low-cost device with an impressive feature set.
  • Excellent sunlight visibility in comparison to the pitiful one in MI Band 3.
  • It can track a reasonable number of activities, thanks to auto-recognition of swim mode and GPS support via the MI Fit app.
  • Frequent capsule removal will eventually loosen it from the strap (this may take months or even years), and you may one day discover it has been accidentally removed from the strap.

Noise Colorfit 2 VS Mi Smart Band 4: Final Verdict

In general, the ColorFit 2 is a low-cost fitness band with a color screen, several sports tracking features, activity, sleep, and heart rate monitoring, and long battery life. It lacks an OLED display with scratch-resistant glass, but given the price, this is a non-issue. The Noise ColorFit 2 is priced at Rs. 1899 and is available in Dusk Pink, Twilight Blue, and Midnight Black on gonoise and Amazon websites whereas the Xiaomi Mi Band 4 is a dependable activity tracker that includes a heart rate sensor and many other bunches of features.

The Mi Band 4 costs Rs. 1,800 in India and is well worth the money. The only real complaint we had with this product was that the edges of the heart rate sensor made it necessary for us to wear it a little looser than we would have liked, so keep that in mind if you’re looking for a fitness tracker to wear all day.
