Personal Opinion- Sony WF-1000XM3 vs Sony WF SP800n
Sony WF-1000XM3 is a truly wireless earphone, very convenient to put on. It is a little more affordable than the Air pods Pro but it delivers the same audio quality performance and has good sound isolation. According to us, this pair of earphones is a little bigger than the other options in the same range. The earphones are made of plastic entirely and thus do not weigh very heavy on the ear, causing any discomfort. The charging case is a little bulky and big too, due to the size of the earphones. This pair has several nice features like touch-sensitive zones for controls, two microphones on each earphone, light indicators, etc.

These earphones are very comfortable and convenient to put on but the fit can be a little discomforting and you feel like you have to be cautious about it sometimes. However, the earphones are quite good-looking. The sound quality is fairly nice but not very great sound and the noise cancellation is very decent.
However, the Sony WF sp800n is also a wireless earphone that makes it easy to use for workouts or trips, etc. it is small in size and is very convenient. These are made of lightweight plastic and do not cause discomfort. The case is although not very small and requires a dedicated pocket. These wireless earphones have touch-sensitive pads that let you control certain features. It has active noise cancellation and you can choose when you wish to turn it down, for example, while running on a road or crossing. These earphones have an IP55 rating that protects them from dust and sweat helping them last in condition longer. The fit is not super secure but they don’t fall off.
The battery life is quite nice and runs up to a good nine hours of playback time. To know what the best option is, let us get into the details.
Sony WF-1000XM3 vs Sony WF SP800n Battery life-
Sony WF-1000XM3 promises six hours of listening time with ANC turned on and a good eight hours when it is turned off. The battery life is quite nice but there is a better competition to it.
Sony WF- SP800n offers the longest run time you can get from a truly wireless earphone. It can run for nine hours with ANC on and thirteen hours with the ANC feature disabled.

Clearly, the winner for the battery feature is the Sony WF-SP800N.
Water and dust protection-
Sony WF-1000XM3 is not made to be water resistible. It can withstand sweat and dust up to an extent but that is completely at your own risk. The brand does not offer any such feature with this particular model. This pair is not IPX-rated and thus can be exposed to sweat and dust at your own risk only.
Whereas, Sony WF-SP800N has an IPX55 rating that protects them from both water and dust. Sony has launched this feature with this particular model.
Again, the winner for water and dust protection is the Sony WF-SP800N.
Noise cancellation and microphone-
The noise cancellation feature in Sony WF-1000XM3 is great, not competing with air pods pro since they are not in the same price range which makes a difference. But the sound cancellation is fairly nice. While attending calls, the callers will not have to face the sound of passing or honking cars but your voice to the caller may suffer.
The sp800n are great for delivering your voice to the other end and the quality is as good as using your smartphone but the noise cancellation feature is not as sharp.

However, this feature is a draw.
Final verdict- we have concluded that the Sony WF-SP800N is clearly the winner here and a better option to choose. They crush the competition in every area of comparison. Just the sound quality is a little sacrificed ahead of all the other features of it.
For someone who only wants the earphones for sound quality and no other feature, WF-1000XM3 can be opted for.
