Xiaomi Band 7 Pro Vs Huawei Band 6: Which To Choose?

Consumers are increasingly interested in smartwatches, which have a larger, broader display and can even function as a traditional timepiece. Fitness bands, which are commonly pill-shaped, have large bezels and a small display. As a result, Huawei’s Band 6 fitness tracker has a larger display and a more appealing design.

Xiaomi’s latest high-end fitness tracker, the Mi Band 7 Pro, was unveiled to the public late last month. With the device’s official unveiling, the Xiaomi 12S series was officially launched in China. The Redmi Smart Band Pro, like the Mi Band 7 Pro, has a similar appearance and feel to the more expensive Mi Band 7 Pro. It has a metal chassis and a watch-style band as a premium product.

For many years, the Mi Band has been the go-to affordable fitness tracker. With the release of the Huawei Band 6, Huawei hopes to change people’s perceptions of fitness trackers. The new Huawei fitness tracker, despite its small size, packs a lot of power into a device that costs less than $50. In our in-depth review, we’ll see if the Huawei Band 6 can compete with the Xiaomi Mi Band 6.

What You Should Know About Huawei’s Band 6

Huawei’s Band 6 is an entry-level fitness tracker for people who don’t need or want a full-featured wristwatch. As a result, it has a hybrid design with more fitness-focused features.

Steps, calories burned, exercise time, heart rate, stress, all-day SpO2, and sleep can all be tracked by the Huawei Band 6. A single charge can last up to two weeks and provide 96 different training options. A smartwatch’s only functions are camera shutter, music controls, and notification mirroring.

Except for a few omissions, Huawei’s fitness tracker is nearly identical to the new Honor Band 6. The Honor Band 6 has fewer workout modes and does not track SpO2 levels throughout the day (only spot checks). Despite the fact that Huawei and Honor are now independent organizations, the trackers appear to have been established prior to the split. Learn about the new features in our Honor Band 6 review.

Things To Know Before Buying The Xiaomi Mi Band 7 Pro

Xiaomi Band 7 Pro

The Mi Band 7 Pro includes continuous heart rate monitoring, sleep monitoring, blood-oxygen monitoring, and a variety of activity modes. The app includes smart notifications, music and camera controls, the find my phone feature, contactless payment features, and voice command support.

Xiaomi Mi Pro 7’s Display

The Mi Band 7 Pro’s 1.64-inch AMOLED display has a pixel density of 326PPI and is always on. This device, which is available for purchase, has over 180 watch faces, 117 sports modes for both outdoor and indoor activities, and GPS functionality. The Mi Band 7 Pro, on the other hand, is available in a single color and comes standard with NFC. Despite its small size, the Mi Band 7 Pro is waterproof to 5 meters.

The Huawei Band 6’s Display

The screen and hardware on the Huawei Band 6 are both excellent. The Fitbit Charge 4’s 1.47-inch AMOLED display is crisper and more vibrant than the Fitbit Charge 4’s display. Because of how roomy it is, I don’t miss having a larger display while wearing it. I believe Huawei has struck gold with the Huawei Band 6 – it’s the ideal fitness tracker size. Because it is so thin, the tracker can be worn all day during workouts and at night to monitor sleep.

Furthermore, the bands on the Huawei Band 6 can be swapped. We were relieved to discover that a broken band did not necessitate the purchase of a new gadget.

Software

The on-device software on the Huawei Band 6 is excellent. Touch responsiveness that is both quick and smooth. Because of the light weight of the operating system, the device rarely experiences lag.

The MI Band Pro 6, on the other hand, is a fitness tracker disguised as a smartwatch. The 5ATM water resistance, in addition to the built-in GPS and 117 exercise options, allows swimmers to track their progress while swimming.

You also get a SpO2 sensor and a heart rate monitor to help you keep track of your health.

Connectivity

Huawei Band 6

Thankfully, the Huawei Band 6 is an excellent fitness tracker. Unfortunately, it has software issues.

The smartwatch functions on the Band 6 are limited, but those that are available are ineffectively integrated. The notifications on your smartphone arrive on time, but they are of limited utility. Because you can’t enlarge any notifications, you’re more likely to pick up your phone and read a full text or even a brief email. To display messages in full on the Huawei Band 6, the software may need to be updated.

There are only a few watch faces available for the Huawei Band 6. It took me a long time to decide. Their target audience is clearly younger and hipper than mine. What’s the big deal? I’m not that old at 29 years old.

By connecting Huawei Health data to Google Fit, you can view your health statistics in Google’s app. Because only one app is supported, users of popular services such as Strava and MyFitnessPal will be left out in the cold.

Xiaomi Band 7 Pro vs Huawei Band 6: Final Verdict

Despite the “Pro” label, the Xiaomi Mi Band 7 Pro is not much more expensive than the Mi Band 7, which was released in May. The Pro model is now available in China for CNY 400 (£50). Huawei, on the other hand, has a few software bugs that will not interfere with your overall experience. This Huawei fitness tracker is an excellent replacement for the Mi Band or a low-cost fitness tracker that performs well. There is still no update on the Global release of Mi band 7 pro.
