The Android version of the Beats Fit Pro works flawlessly, just like the iPhone version. At least in the music industry, it appears that Apple-owned Beats is doing well. Because of the ear tip fit test and a variety of ear tips, the Fit Pro’s ear tips fit like a glove. The Fit Pro, on the other hand, is equally at home in the office as it is in the gym, and the sound quality is excellent. The high price of the Beats Fit Pro is largely responsible for its lack of gold status.
How do you improve on the best all-around true wireless earbuds? Instead, Sony went back to the drawing board and created the WF-1000XM4, a completely new design. How daring is this step to take? Definitely. Crazy? It is entirely feasible. Sony’s WF-1000X wireless earbuds have dominated the market for several years, and the WF-1000XM3 has won the What Hi-Fi? Award twice.
Instead of making minor changes here and there, Sony’s engineers completely redesigned the WF-1000XM4 with a new design, charging case, and audio processor. A new ear tip material was also developed, which is now being used for the first time on a pair of Sony earbuds. What could possibly go wrong?
We spent two weeks comparing the Beats Fit Pro and the Sony WF-1000XM4 to see what they had in common. Despite the fact that this could be an excellent pair of workout headphones, noise cancellation is still not working months after our initial review. Let’s take a look at what we like and what might put you off buying these unusually shaped Beats.

Beats Fit Pro vs Sony WF 1000XM4: Detailed Analysis
Design And Convenience
The Beats Fit Pro earbuds stand out from the crowd thanks to their tapered, angled wingtips and rounded housings. The Fit Pro is surprisingly comfortable to wear, at least for short periods of time. After twisting and “locking” the earbuds in place, make sure to push the wing tip under your antihelix.
Each earbud has a lowercase “b” on the outside to control media and phone calls (more on that later). Each bud has magnets and a skin detection sensor on the underside to aid in automatic ear detection. This sensor, which works exactly like the one in the third-generation AirPods, makes the auto-play/pause function more responsive.
The WF-1000XM4, on the other hand, takes you by surprise when you first see it. The glossy box has been replaced by recycled packaging made from a special paper blend. As a result, the box of the WF-1000XM3 is 34% smaller than that of the WF-1000XM3. It is, however, beneficial to the environment, but it does not give the impression that you have just purchased a pair of premium noise-cancelling headphones.
Unlike the Apple AirPods (3rd generation) and the Apple AirPods Pro, you can control playback and incoming calls by pressing a button on each Beats Fit Pro bud. If you want to change the volume instead of switching listening modes, use the press-and-hold command in the Beats or iOS Settings apps.
The Sony WF-1000XM4 wireless headphones borrow the WH-1000XM4 wireless headphones’ Speak-to-Chat feature. This feature is activated when you start speaking, allowing you to use your earbuds while still talking to someone. This system works well, unlike the over-ears, which kick in about a second after you start speaking.
Waiting for the feature to activate after a cough or karaoke session can be inconvenient, as can the feature’s proclivity to activate while you’re at your desk. The feature’s sensitivity can be adjusted, or you can disable it entirely and use Quick Attention or remove an earbud entirely (which pauses playback automatically).
Is It Possible To Use Them While Exercising?
The Fit Pro earbuds are ideal for working out because of their ergonomic design and water resistance up to IPX4. Even when I fall off an indoor bouldering wall or ride my bike over neglected potholes, the Beats Fit Pro stays in place. Because the Beats Fit Pro earbuds lack a dust-resistant rating, you use them at your own risk.
The magnetic case opens to reveal a brand-new design for the WF-1000XM4 earbuds. Sony chose a rounder body that sits closer to the ear canal based on customer feedback and research into the human ear.
The small accents around the microphone and sensor holes, in addition to the matte finish on the earbuds, add a splash of colour to the headphones. The XM4 is available in two colours: black and silver.
The Beats Fit Pro’s case has three charge cycles (18 hours), giving it a total battery life of 24 hours. We’re still running battery tests, and we’ll let you know when we get the results. If you put the earbuds in the case for 5 minutes, you get 60 minutes of playback.
A USB-C cable is required to charge the charging case. You should use a USB-C-to-USB-C cable instead of the Beats one if you have one lying around. The Fit Pro case does not support wireless charging, and iOS does not support battery management.
With Sony WFH, you won’t have to worry about battery life. However, despite having a smaller case, Sony’s new earphones have longer battery life. With noise cancellation and Bluetooth enabled, the earbuds now last eight hours, and Sony claims that the case can charge them for an additional 16 hours with noise cancellation and Bluetooth enabled. This puts them ahead of all major competitors in terms of single-charge battery life. The AirPods have five-hour battery life when compared to the AirPods Pro, Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless, and Bose QuietComfort Earbuds. When the noise-cancelling feature is disabled, the Sony’s battery life is increased to 12 hours on a single charge and 24 hours with the case. One hour of playtime can be obtained with a five-minute quick charge.

Beats Fit Pro vs Sony WF 1000XM4: Final Verdict
If you’re looking for a pair of workout earbuds that work on both Android and iOS, the Bose Sport Earbuds are a good choice. Customize the controls, choose your source, and more with the Bose Sport Earbuds using the Bose Music app. The earbuds are IPX4 rated, just like the Fit Pro earbuds.
The Sony WF-1000XM4 has piqued our interest. With so many design changes and new features, these wireless earbuds must have been a real challenge to put together. Sony, on the other hand, has hit the nail on the head. The headphones provide an excellent user experience, have a long battery life, and are some of the best noise cancellations we’ve heard in this category. For premium wireless earbuds, new standards have been established.
