Design and Build Quality

Following the Outlier and Outlier V2, the Outlier Pro is the third generation of Creative’s Outlier wireless earphones. Because the company stuck with the form factor of its predecessors, the new Creative Outlier Pro has one of the largest charging cases in the wireless earbuds market. Regardless of how nice the shiny coating appears, this is not a TWS you’ll keep in your jeans pocket. It is heavier and bigger than any of its predecessors.

It’s no coincidence that the case looks and feels like a power bank. The casing allows for an additional 60 hours of playback time.

The Creative Outlier Air V3s, on the other hand, stands out as a one-of-a-kind case study. They are so comfortable, in comparison to other bulb-shaped earbuds, that I almost forget I have them in my ears. The V3s appear to have been designed for comfort because they are smaller and more ergonomic than previous Outlier Air launches.

Battery

The innovative outlier pro earphones steal the show. When the active noise cancelling feature is turned off, Creative promises 15 hours of entertainment on a single charge. In reality, it is very likely to last even longer. After nearly 7 hours of continuous use with films and music, toggling ANC on and off, the Outlier Pro still had 70% battery life on the iPhone!

When it comes to OutlierCreative, the Outlier Air V3s have exceptional battery life. In addition to the earbuds’ ten hours of playtime, the charging case provides an additional 30 hours of battery life. Consider that Apple’s latest AirPods have 6-hour battery life and a charging case with 24-hour battery life.

Connectivity

The outside of the earpieces of the Creative Outlier Pro earphones has touch panels. You’ll need to practice tapping quickly enough for the earbuds to recognize repeated taps. Because of multipoint connectivity, you don’t have to put the earbuds in the case and manually disconnect the Bluetooth connection on your previous device when you receive a phone call.

The earphones cannot be disconnected even if you do not have Creative software installed on your phone or tablet.

Darker and warmer tones are easier to achieve on instruments like guitar and piano, whereas brighter tones are more difficult to achieve on instruments like violins and cymbals.

Creative Outlier V3s, on the other hand, fall short of “premium” sound quality for a $55 price tag, which is understandable. Despite this, they sound great when compared to similarly priced earphones. These are a good choice for anyone looking for a good pair of headphones because they have solid mid-range detail (which is unusual for cheap earbuds) and a surprisingly wide stereo impact.

Creative attributes the high-quality sound to bio-cellulose drivers. I don’t want to go too far down the rabbit hole, but bio-cellulose drivers could explain the precise mid-range sound of the Outlier Air V3. Because of this, earbuds are so small.

In addition to its seemingly endless battery life, the Creative Outlier Pro has excellent noise cancellation (ANC) and call quality. It is not, however, the best wireless earphones for audiophiles.

Despite its flaws and peculiarities, the Creative Outlier Air V3 is a good pair of headphones. A good-quality all-day-comfort headphone with a long battery life costs around $55. That’s a fantastic deal on all the necessities. However, ANC, ear detection, and a more compact charging case are available elsewhere. It’s important to remember that all of these extras can cost you more than $100 per year.
