boAt Airdopes 500 Vs Oneplus Buds Z: Which To Buy?

OnePlus released the much-anticipated OnePlus Buds, a foray into the true wireless audio market, early in the year. Despite being reasonably priced and visually appealing, I couldn’t recommend the company’s first true wireless earphones over some of the other excellent competing options in my review because they weren’t as compelling. Motorola’s second wireless headset is now available, and it appears to address many of the shortcomings of its more expensive counterpart.

Boat, on the other hand, is constantly developing new audio products, which keeps it at the forefront of the market. The brand’s trademark has become high-quality, low-cost audio devices. We recently received their new ANC earbuds and are excited to put them to the test. The Boat Airdopes 500 ANC earbuds are now on the market.

This section will go over the new Boat Airdopes and One Plus Z in detail. Furthermore, we will provide an objective assessment of the product’s performance from a variety of perspectives. Finally, we’ll tell you whether this product is worthwhile.

boAt Airdopes 500 vs Oneplus Buds Z: Detailed Analysis

Design and Build Quality

It will not make your wallet bulge or cause you any discomfort. The highest quality plastic is used. In the charging case, the earbuds remain stationary.

On the charging case, there is a reset button as well as a battery indicator LED light. On the bottom of this device is a Type C charging port. The Boat logo can be found at the very top. You can keep your earbuds safe with the magnetic lock on the lid.

The OnePlus Buds Z is an alternative to the more traditional-looking OnePlus Buds for those who prefer an outer-ear fit. The earpieces are similar to those found on the OnePlus Bullets Wireless 2 and Bullets Wireless Z, making the design instantly recognizable. This includes the casing bulge, the snug fit in the ear canal, and the shiny exterior.

The OnePlus Buds Z are only available in white and grey, with no Nord Blue option like the original OnePlus Buds. Although the colours chosen by OnePlus are fine, I found them to be a little bland and uninspiring. The colour options for the company’s low-cost wireless headset are limited.

Bluetooth Performance and Connectivity

Bluetooth 5.2 is standard on the Boat Airdopes 500 ANC. After you’ve connected to your smartphone, you can use the IWP technology (Instant Wake and Pair). To use the earbuds, you must first activate your Bluetooth. Remove the cover when you’re finished. They’ll be ready to pair now. Look for them on your other devices and tap on them to connect.

It is also displayed next to the earbuds’ name. The earbuds will be disconnected automatically when the lid is closed. After that, whenever you open the charging case, they will reconnect to the last device to which they were previously linked. In Mono mode, users can only use one earbud at a time.

The earpieces, like Huawei’s FreeBuds 3i, slide horizontally into the charging case. While the earphones magnetically attach to the charging case, this design is more difficult to use and intuitive than vertically-oriented charging cases, such as the one found on the Huawei headset. The front has an indicator light, and the back has a USB Type-C charging port and pairing button.

The battery life of the Boat Airdopes 500 ANC Bluetooth Headset

The case of the Boat Airdopes 500 ANC includes a 500 mah battery. Your earbuds can be recharged up to four times using the case. The earbud batteries have a capacity of 40 mah. These earbuds can last up to five and a half hours when fully charged. The estimated total playtime is between 26 and 28 hours. With ANC Mode, you can sleep for 22 to 23 hours. A Fast Charging Feature also provides 60 minutes of playtime after only 5 minutes of charging. Please think about buying the Boat Airdopes 441.

The battery life on the OnePlus Buds Z isn’t as long, but it’s adequate for the price. After four hours of mixed-use and three full charges from the case, the total battery life from the case was around 17 hours per charge cycle. In just 10 minutes of charging, you can get 3 hours of listening time.

Audio And Sound Quality

Oneplus Buds Z

By pressing the right earbud for about three seconds, you can activate the ANC feature of these earbuds. Worked well in ANC mode. Instantly removes background noise. The earbuds also have an Ambient Mode. Holding the right earbud for three seconds turns it on.

Because of its bass-heavy tuning, OnePlus’ first foray into true wireless earphones was a flop. The OnePlus Buds Z has noticeably better sound quality. This Rs. 3,000 pair of true wireless earphones also supports the AAC Bluetooth codec due to the in-canal fit, which provides proper noise isolation and well-directed sound.

A “safe” sound signature does not detract from the OnePlus Buds Z’s sound reproduction quality. As a result, even this U-shaped sonic signature sounds good and is enjoyable to listen to. I mostly tested the Buds Z on my OnePlus phone, but I also compared it to an iPad mini (2019), a MacBook Air, and a Google Pixel 3a XL.

Call Quality

The inclusion of a quad microphone makes calling easier. Because of its hybrid Active Noise Cancellation, it is now possible to work without interruption or distraction. ENx Technology also helps to ensure crystal-clear in-call voice quality.

Making a phone call is a rich and satisfying experience. Squeaks from the wind will soon be a thing of the past. Despite the background noise of traffic, your callers will be able to hear you clearly.

Although there is no active noise cancellation, environmental noise cancellation ensures that those on the other end of your phone call can hear you better. This appeared to work well in my testing, and I had no complaints about the quality of the calls I received. When using direct line-of-sight Bluetooth, the earphones worked well up to three meters away from the paired device.

boAt Airdopes 500 vs Oneplus Buds Z: Final Verdict

Full functionality is only available on Android devices running the most recent version of Android, limiting the benefits of Dolby Atmos and the resulting soundstage improvement. The HeyMelody app has improved the experience on non-OnePlus smartphones. Despite the lack of OnePlus-specific features, these earphones are an excellent value and the first to consider if you’re looking for a new pair of truly wireless earphones but have a limited budget.

On the other hand, the Boat 500 earbuds are comfortable to wear. Their chances of success are slim. As a result, it can be taken anywhere. The Boat Airdopes 500 ANC, in addition to its many useful features, can be used by anyone. The earbuds are water-resistant to IPX4 standards. device synchronization.
