Oppo Reno 9 Pro Vs Oppo Reno 8 Pro: Detailed Analysis

Design

Particularly when compared to other smartphones offered in this market area, the Oppo Reno 8 Pro’s design undoubtedly produced a favorable first impression. With a frame composed of an aluminum alloy that not only looks beautiful but feels expensive, it is also remarkably light for a phone of size just 183g. A glossy glass surface constructed of Gorilla Glass 5 that is highly effective at preventing fingerprints is fused to the rear. The configuration of the cameras is what sets the design of the Reno 8 Pro apart from other similar products. The cutouts are positioned parallel with the raised camera module, which is really an extension of the back glass panel. The camera module’s soft curvature also allowed us to lay the index finger beneath it, adding to my grip and making it simpler to operate the phone with one hand.

Reno 8 Pro’s display is flat, although it has a slight edge curve that connects the sharp corners of the frame. At this price point, the display’s bezel is among the thinnest we’ve seen. The phone’s right and left sides are even narrower than the bezel of the display, giving it a more carved and contemporary appearance than those of its competitors. We are unable to discuss the Oppo Reno 9 Pro much because there isn’t a lot of information out there about it.

Camera

Oppo Reno 8 Pro

The Oppo Reno 8 Pro 5G comes with not one, not two, but three rear cameras. A 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 sensor serves as the device’s primary camera. Additionally, there is an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera. A 32-megapixel camera is featured for taking selfies. The UI is simple, but selecting the ellipsis button gives access to additional options for a few modes. The primary camera’s images taken in daylight appeared sharp and bright, with good color reproduction that accurately reflected the situation. The ultra-wide-angle camera is quite good and processes a great result with a constrained dynamic range.

Sources claim that the main or primary camera on the Oppo Reno 9 Pro will be a 50MP IMX766. We are unable to study the camera further because more information is still pending confirmation. The features have been determined to be positive. It is a gadget that is rumored to be among the most practical smartphones to be unveiled soon.

Performance

Oppo Reno 8 Pro software performance was excellent. The LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, and Dimensity 8100-Max SoC were fast enough to handle multitasking, and apps launched quickly. The software experience was quite fluid due to the 120Hz refresh rate display. Oppo made a wise decision by opting for a flexible AMOLED panel because it kept the bezels on the device relatively thin. The 6.7-inch full-HD+ display had excellent viewing angles and rich colors and grew pretty bright.

The Reno 9 Pro would use the Dimensity 8000-branded MediaTek MT6895 chipset. It is commonly known that the Dimensity 8000 and 8100 enable 4K video recording at 60 frames per second, HDR10+ videography, and camera sensors with up to 200 MP. The chipsets may simultaneously record HDR videos from two cameras. Additionally, they have 5G, GPS, NavIC, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 6E, and the power-saving UltraSave 2.0 improvement package. These are the top smartphones with Dimensity 8000/Dimensity 8100 processors that are unquestionably worth the wait. Although we don’t know much about the Oppo Reno 9 Pro’s software, we can guess that it will be among the finest as it will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8000 processor.

Oppo Reno 9 Pro Vs Oppo Reno 8 Pro: Final Verdict

Oppo’s Reno 8 Pro 5G certainly has the appearance of a high-end Android phone. Even with the Rs. 45,999 asking price, it feels pretty premium and is lightweight and stylish. At this price point, it is difficult to find another smartphone that even comes close in terms of design and build quality. Given how much this phone costs, it’s unfortunate that you should have lower expectations when it comes to the cameras because they aren’t the finest. Oppo Reno 9 Pro, on the other hand, has not yet been released, so you will need to wait before making a final selection.
