In India, smartphone manufacturers have begun aggressively promoting tablets. Oppo’s Oppo Pad Air, priced at Rs 16,000, was only recently released in India. However, Xiaomi’s Pad 5 tablet, which I consider to be one of the best under Rs 30,000, is currently out of stock. When the Xiaomi Pad 5 becomes unavailable, Realme’s Realme Pad X appears to be the best alternative. It also intends to compete in terms of performance with Apple’s iPads, but without the hefty price tag.
The Xiaomi Pad 5’s low price will appeal to a large number of customers in India. In addition to a 120Hz LCD display with Dolby Vision, the tablet has quad speakers with Dolby Atmos, a custom MIUI 13 for Pad, and a powerful Snapdragon 860 processor. Customers can customize their gaming experience by using third-party keyboards and gamepads, as well as Xiaomi’s own accessories. You can even make video calls using the tablet’s front and back cameras.

Realme Pad X 5G vs Xiaomi Pad 5: Detailed Analysis
Design
The back of the device, which is made of plastic, has a matte finish. The rear panel of the Nokia T20 and other low-cost tablets does not leave any fingerprint smudges, which is a pleasant surprise. The Realme Pad X is thin but heavy. It weighs nearly a pound less than the Xiaomi Pad 5, which weighs 499 grams. The phone has a 10.9-inch 2K (2000x1200px) screen with 450 nits of brightness on the front. Furthermore, the screen refresh rate is 60Hz, which is significantly lower than the Pad 5’s 120Hz display. Customers will not mind using the tablet to view content, and they will appreciate the improved audio quality provided by the Dolby-enabled quad speakers. The colors on the display are adequate, if not excellent.
Tablets, such as the Xiaomi Pad 5, have a larger viewing area and a slimmer form factor than laptops, making them ideal for content viewing. Although many low-cost tablets advertise Full HD or higher resolution, they lack the most basic Android key for accessing high-definition videos. Connectivity
In comparison to Xiaomi’s Mi Pad 2, the Realme Pad X has one advantage, but is it significant? Before we get into the full review, let’s take a look at its price, specifications, and design.
The Realme Pad X is first and foremost visually appealing. Customers can, however, select a Black model if they prefer the look of a more traditional device. The company has decided not to release a flashy version of the tablet, as it has done with many Realme smartphones.
Users who prefer to listen to music with wired headphones may be disappointed that the Xiaomi Pad 5 lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack. If you want to use the tablet outside, you’ll need to use your phone’s hotspot, as I strongly advise against using public Wi-Fi. Finally, while some may question Xiaomi’s choice of an LCD panel, most users will not notice the difference due to the high resolution, Dolby Vision, and adequate brightness.

Specifications
The tablet’s screen measures 11 inches and has a resolution of 1200 by 2000 pixels. The Realme Pad X is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 695 processor running at 2.2 GHz. It has 4 GB of RAM in total. The Realme Pad X comes with an 8340mAh battery and Android. The Realme Pad X has a 13-megapixel rear camera. With the device’s 8-megapixel front camera, taking selfies is a breeze.
When using Realme UI 3.0 for Pad, a microSD card can be used to expand the 64GB of internal storage on the Realme Pad X. (up to 512GB). Glacier Blue and Glowing Grey were the available colors. The Realme Pad X has USB Type-C and Wi-Fi connectivity options.
Because of its dependable display and processor, the Xiaomi Pad 5 is equally impressive in terms of specs and gaming. The USB-C port also includes OTG support for third-party gamepads. I used a 2.4GHz dongle and a wireless Ant Esports GP300 Pro gamepad. When using a gamepad to hover over apps, the experience has some flaws.
Performance
In terms of productivity, the Xiaomi Pad 5 has a lot to offer. Xiaomi offers a special MIUI 13 for Pad for the Xiaomi Pad 5 in addition to the stock MIUI 13 for Pad. Despite the fact that proprietary apps continue to send us bloatware and spammy notifications, users can turn them off in the Settings menu. While MIUI 13 has some nice features, some apps’ texts are still jumbled, and the software could use some work. Google has confirmed that the Android 12L update will be released soon, but no specific date has been set.
The Realme Pad 5, on the other hand, is powered by the Snapdragon 695, which is also found in a number of low-cost 5G phones. I have yet to fully exploit the tablet’s capabilities with this particular chipset. I have nothing to say about the 33W fast charging capability, which is similar to the 8,340mAh battery.

Realme Pad X 5G vs Xiaomi Pad 5: Final Verdict
The Realme Pad X appears to have a lot going for it, and I particularly like how clean and uncluttered it is. Although I haven’t had a chance to fully evaluate its capabilities, I can already tell that I like it because of its simple design and lack of bloatware that we typically see on Realme smartphones. However, if you are an Android user who does not wish to pay extra for 128GB/256GB storage, the Xiaomi Pad 5 is well worth considering (and even buying). As a result, the Xiaomi Pad 5 is essentially an Android-based version of the Apple iPad (9th-Gen). Future Android OS updates for the tablet appear unlikely, and the MIUI 13 for Pad still requires work.
